Lucy died on 31 January 2005, aged 18 years.
She lived near Blairgowrie and had just started working as a shop assistant in Safeway, Perth.
Lucy has two sisters, Heidi who is now 25, and her twin sister Melissa, who is 21.
Lucy died after being struck by a car near her home, on 28/01/2005, while on her way home from work.
Lucy was a very special person who always seemed to be happy. She was a best friend as well as a daughter and was very close to both her sisters. She liked doing all the usual teenage things such as shopping, listening to music, going to the cinema, etc., but she also enjoyed spending time with me and we would regularly go out on our bikes, cook new recipes, and watch films together. She loved celebrations, especially Christmas, and would spend ages thinking of the perfect gift to get for everyone.
She was really excited when she got her job in Safeway and she really seemed to be enjoying it. Unfortunately, she had only been there for three weeks before her accident. She had also been planning to go to college and had already applied for a place. Learning to drive was also something she wanted to do and she had decided to take lessons as soon as she could. Unfortunately, she was not able to do either of these things and we will never know what she would have achieved in life.
It is very difficult going through life knowing that your child is no longer here and you are left wondering what might have been.
